A Japanese style skiving knife, these are more versatile than any other skiving knife as it can be used for more than just skiving the back off the leather, but they can also be used to cut leather by placing the corner into the leather and with handle facing you and be pulled along following any shape/line, ideal for cutting around patterns and when the blade is flat, squaring off the end of a strap, belt etc.
Can also be used to cut light intricate patterns, with the blade being tapered, it enables either a light cut or the more pressure you put on the corner, the deeper the cut.
